To a goat
breeder like myself, goat images have special meaning.
Unfortunately, I don't get to do them too often....
The Heifer
Project International t-shirt was one of those endeavors that
combined artistic challenge with personal satisfaction.
Conceived as a special fund-raiser for HPI, the two-sided
t-shirt debuted in 1991 at the International Goat Conference
in New Delhi, India. Click on the thumbnail to view

Nubian
Dreaming was one I painted just for myself.
It is now part of a private collection. Both are
animals I have owned, though not at the same time. I
often wonder what their offspring would have been like....

Nubian Queen
is somewhat of a departure for me in that it is painted acrylics on canvas.
The grouping of the tree and the kids and cat was originally used
in a pen & ink print featuring Nubians (see below).
